Camco, an Edgo company, has signed an agreement to be an exclusive supplier of onshore drilling services in Libya using Baker Hughes’s leading-edge directional drilling technology. In addition, Camco will offer measurement-while-drilling (MWD) and logging-while-drilling (LWD) services to national oil companies offshore Libya.
Baker Hughes’s drilling solutions lead the industry, allowing operators to find solutions that make drilling more accurate and efficient whilst minimizing costs. Its Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS) allow operators to reach their target depth quicker with pinpoint wellbore placement, allowing operators real-time reservoir insights and the ability to continuously track drilling performance.
Announcing the agreement, Nidal Karyouti, Edgo’s Chief Operating Officer said:
“We are looking forward to being able to offer drilling services to our customers in Libya using Baker Hughes technology that leads the industry and which will build on the broad range of oilfield services we currently offer in the country.
The combination of Camco’s expert team and Baker Hughes technology will open up the market in Libya ensuring that oil operators can access the best services to maximize their production and efficiency.”
Baker Hughes’s Global OnDemand Solutions Director, Hatem Salem said:
“We are proud to provide solutions – new technology and high-quality products directly to Camco, that are fit for their needs, flexible in commercial terms, and delivered fast. We are not only the go-to-company for the best customized business solutions, but our offerings also encourage and enable companies like Camco to conduct business – which in turn supports localization programs for national oil companies.”
Camco will begin offering drilling services to operators in the second quarter of 2022.
With over 30 years’ operating experience and having worked in most of Libya’s oilfields, Camco is one of the country’s leading oilfield services providers.
